Three little words but such a big question! And likely not one that can be easily
answered with just a yes or a no.
Life is complicated, busy, messy, up and down, and anything
In one area of life we might be very happy; but in another
area not so much! Or not at all.
But overall, would you say you’re happy?
This past week I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about
happiness. What causes one to go back
and forth between being happy and unhappy; can someone be happy in spite of the
negative things going on in their world?
But an even bigger question than that – can we choose to be happy?

I’ve been thinking a lot about being brave and stepping
outside of one’s comfort zone this past week.
As I listen to others tell me what holds them back or trips
them up as they’re trying to make positive changes in their lives, it’s
interesting to observe how the mind can trick us.
We’re feeling fear but it’s disguised as something else. Which means most of the time, we don’t even realize
that it is fear stopping us from making any progress, or creating the changes

What was your life like a year ago?
What were you doing?
Where were you working?
Who was in your life?
Were you happy then?
Were you living life the way you wanted to?
Were you faced with making a difficult decision?
Were you feeling stuck in life, not knowing what to do?
What advice would you give your one-year younger self now?

I believe our lives are a journey, and the goal is to always
grow and develop, to become more, each day.
Part of that journey is knowing
who we are, knowing ourselves.
But back to the people whose posts I enjoy reading.
When they share something personal about their journey, a

I see the learning in action.
So I thought I’d share a bit of my personal journey with you,
in the hopes that maybe you’ll relate or maybe be inspired.

We’ve all heard over and over how, if we practice gratitude
on a daily basis, our lives will change. But it’s not always easy to do when
you’re in a crappy place and can’t see beyond the struggles!
Regardless of where you’re at in life, when things just don’t
seem to be working out the way you want them to, and there seems to be struggle
after struggle, it’s hard to feel grateful.
But it can be done.
And it honestly can change your life.
Because it changes your mindset. Your thinking.
And when that changes, your life changes.
Honestly! I can’t stress that enough!
If you don’t believe me, then try what I’m about to share

February is often the month when people lose their
motivation when it comes to making those changes they wanted to make, when the
hype of the holidays, the new year and new beginnings, and vacation days in the
sunny south (if you live in the freezing cold north like I do!!) seem like a
What changes did you want to make?
How are they coming along?
This post is in no way meant to guilt you if you’re not on
track with your goals, but rather to let you know that if you’re slipping on
them or if they’ve fizzled out, it’s completely normal – and it’s possible to
get back on track!
Are you interested in knowing how?
