I want my confidence back and to change the way I feel.

This is what a client wrote when asking for help.

Can you relate?  I can; I’ve definitely been there.

It happens so easily.  We get caught up in the day-to-day routine, and we don’t even notice that the person we used to be is changing.  Is sort of getting lost.

We get out of alignment with who we are at our core, the person we are.  And it happens so slowly that we don’t even realize it’s happening.

Until we’re asking for the same help as that client above.

We slowly stop using our natural abilities and try to adapt, or function outside of them.  Does that make sense?  Think about a time when you were working in a job that was totally out of alignment for you, where the natural talents and attitude you needed were completely opposite of who you are.  Or maybe you were in a relationship that was totally opposite of what you really needed.

Without intending to, we get ourselves into a situation, into a life that is out of alignment with who we are.  This is a negative place for us to be, and that negativity slowly eats away our self-confidence.

It’s only natural then that we start to doubt ourselves.  We start to doubt our capabilities, we doubt our worth and what we can offer.  We can even begin to doubt our likeability.

Our confidence is gone or almost gone.  And we feel crappy; about ourselves and about our life.

We need to get back to who we are, to let our true selves exist again.  That person is still there and we are exactly who we need to be.

We need to replace the negative with positive, in the environment we’re in, and with the people we’re around.

We do this by taking a really good look at what’s going on in our life.  We identify what’s really destroying our confidence, and determine what we can change or replace.

We figure out what is bringing us down and intentionally replace it with things that build us back up.  Usually, this comes from the people we spend time with, but not always.

We must identify the positives within ourselves, and bring them back to the forefront, back to life.

Then our confidence comes back.

The way we feel changes.

The things we do change.

We have gained back our confidence and changed the way we feel.

Mission accomplished.
